Seeing the lights...

A favorite Christmas tradition of ours is seeing the lights at temple square each year. It was slow to snow this year, so we were glad to have some white stuff come before we went. It was beautiful, peaceful, and cold (I'm a wimp in cold weather, I must really love this place to live here, I do like a change of season though :). We enjoyed the nativity, watching Luke II, listening to the old fashion carolers, watching our kids play in the snow, and coming home to hot chocolate. Sage kept sneaking up on me with a snowball and Sophie was ready to make a snowman, their favorite part was seeing baby Jesus in Luke II and the carolers, sweet girls.

We're planning on going to Temple Square Friday night. Thanks for the preview! Madelyn is dying to build a snowman too, but our snow is too powdery. Have a fun winter and Merry Christmas!!

I use to go all the time when we lived there. Last year after christmas and before New Years, my sister and grandma came down for a couple days to see the lights and celebrate my grandmas 90th birthday. Do you know how many people that LIVE in UT and have never gone, its amazing. Love those lites and your family pics.

Oh, those pictures bring back so many wonderful memories. My husband and I were married there nearly 17 years ago and then two years ago at Christmas we had our sweet daughter from China sealed to us there as well. Just as we were leaving the temple, the Christmas lights were just twinkling on. It was magical. And then our six year old threw up. Keeping it real for us!

Although from different places, but this perception is consistent, which is relatively rare point!
