Cowabunga Bay

I’m back, did you miss me? Summer is flying by, I have to be quick now a days.

Josh’s awesome orthodontist reserved the place for his patients and their families. It was a fun private party with lot’s of splashing, sliding, relaxing on the lazy river, and catching up with friends. Summer bliss. Thanks Dr. Watson!

Sophie (left) and Sage (right) had a blast. Don’t you like their “swimsuits”. I bought a bunch of these cover ups to protect them from the sun since they spend so much time in the pool, now they like them better then their cute swimsuits.

A few people asked where I got the Lemonade stand, I’ve had it for awhile but I got it at Michael’s. Hope you’re all enjoying your summer.

Fun for the Fourth

Non-stop celebrating over the week-end and still going, certainly no complaints from these three partygoers…

We’re usually at our favorite lake over the 4th, but this year we stuck around here, almost as fun, in a different way, the younger kids liked it just as much.  We enjoyed the ward party Friday night, I helped with the relay games for the kids, and they loved the Dutch Oven desserts, short program & singing, and best of all sleeping in a tent that night (the girls have been dying to go camping all summer after seeing their brothers on so many scout camps, they were thrilled to sleep in a tent, even if it was on grass at the Stake Center ;).  We woke up to a big breakfast, and the kids showed their patriotic pride in the children’s parade.  They liked the idea of waving and throwing candy to the adult spectators on their RWB decorated bikes and boon duggy float, a hoot.  Saturday we spent half the day swimming and BBQ’ing with friends, then off to see fireworks.  Home to light sparklers then joined our neighbors for their firework show, thanks Laura!  These partygoers slept like a baby.  I have to admit, it’s hard believe it will be a few years that we’ll all be together again for the 4th.  Who said my boys can grow up so fast?

Happy Independence Day, God bless our country!

My American Girls from China~ (Sunday Snapshot)

That’s what my precious girls are, I hope they are always proud of it, of  both cultures.  We hold it very dear, and have only added more joy and traditions by embracing the Chinese heritage in our family as well, making it tradition to celebrate CNY, Moon Festival…  Although I see some of our freedoms diminishing, I’m proud to be an American and love  hearing S & S sing this song.  It’s been great teaching them about God, our great country, and how special they are.  I love seeing them with their brothers & family.  It’s a small world, they are proud to be an American, and we’re so glad they’ve added more traditions and culture in our lives.
