A little surprise party for my boy! Even Bruno wanted to join.
We love you tons!!
The girls were invited to Seven Peaks (waterslide park) with their good friend, so we enjoyed some rare time with only mom & her boys…
Not so little anymore, sigh... We drove around uptown listening to a great/ funny CD and enjoying the sights, then ended up here. They were good sports to let me take pictures :)
Neat seeing the new displays in the Visiting Center and watching Testaments again. Trevor was impressed by the displays of emergency welfare provided throughout the nation and told me to sign him up, he wants to help! I think he’ll do a lot of helping and serving in his life, him and his brothers have such a love and concern for others, now if I can say they always show that to each other, well usually :). We also enjoyed a nice chat with some young girl missionaries from Hong Kong, they said how lucky our girls must be to have 3 big brothers, cute.
So fun spending the afternoon with my boys, we’ll do it again soon and see Legacy.
Happy Independence Day!
Conked out after a busy day of playing. They sat down to watch a little TV while dinner was cooking, with Trevor to protect them from potential scary parts, and the next thing you know all three of them were out like a light. I had to get a picture, just don't tell Trevor I posted it :)
The second biggest compliment I get when I'm out (you could probably guess the first) is how good my boys are with their sisters. It's good to hear, and I have to agree, they think the world of Sophie and Sage. They help teach them, play with them, ya, sometimes playfully tease them, but mainly enjoy them and are the first to protect them. The girls are often Trevor's little shadow, and he is so patient and proud of his sisters. Josh is always there to help and teach them, and they can get a smile from Nick when no one else can, he is loving and patient with them. They love their brothers. Thank you boys, way to make a mom smile!
Another nice compliment is having some dear friends- Danny & Lindsay, stop by for a surprise visit this morning. We know their short trips back home are jam packed with family and friends that want to see them and they always try to set aside time to see us and the girls, so nice and always great to see them. The girls were almost speechless when they opened the door to see D & L standing there :). It was great spending the morning with you guys and your cute sisters, it made our day! Have a safe trip back.
Look at what he's doing now. They just don't stay young long. N & J think it's great having someone else to divvy up the mowing and they all like the fact they don't have to push it. The girls enjoy getting rides from their brothers.
Josh graduating from 8th grade, yae! I know, it's just 8th grade, but... this school only goes to 8th grade so it's a big deal, their last time together. They had the whole ceremony diploma thing, slide show, refreshments. It was nice, until all the tears came mainly from the boys. Josh said he tried to cry like his buddies were, to get a bunch of hugs from the girls, just couldn't- lol. Good kid with good friends! just a little emotional It's been a great school and a great year for him, even with some ups and downs, keep up the good work J.
Trevor at Camp Tracy. He was looking forward to this all month, his first overnighter now that he's a boy scout. I joined him the first day, it was 6 years ago when I first came up here with Nick, then Josh, great memories. It was fun for the boys and so beautiful being in the mountains, and glad it didn't rain. They shot rifles, compound bows, reviewed first aid, flag etiquette, sharpening tools, etc. What boy wouldn't love that? The next day they went swimming, canoeing, hiking... They had a ball. It was great spending time with Trevor and his troop. Who knew I would win my rifle merit badge (five bullets within the size of a quarter, only one who did it), hee, hee. Don't mess with me. Trevor was proud :).Trevor earned his Arrow of Light tonight, the highest award in Cub Scouts, and his religious knot, Yahoo! He has had such great scout leaders and learned tons. We've worked on it at home and I'm proud of my last boy and his motivation. I'm very thankful for wonderful leaders that do so much for these boys!

"G man" is in the play too, great little actor. It was funny each time he came on stage. We were on the front row and you'd think he was performing just for Sophie and Sage, he stared at them with his cute smile as he was performing. So sweet.
Let's hear it for the boys, love 'em!

A proud big brother
Thought it would be fun to join this photography contest. This weeks theme is "Boys" so I had plenty of choices, but this is a favorite. I love the look of pure delight and gentleness on Josh's face as he holds his baby brother.
