A day to celebrate…

I may not be thrilled to have another birthday, but I’m thrilled to celebrate the day we saw, hugged, held our daughters for the first time, 6 years ago today. best birthday ever!  Happy homecoming day Sophie and Sage!  You’ve made our family complete, and added so much joy to our lives.

After seeing the boys off to leadership camp and scuba trip (the girls were so sad to see them go), morning piano for the girls, then what better way to celebrate a hot summer day then a fun, cool water park at Cowabunga Bay.

Awww, what I woke up to the other day.  Since Josh knew he’d be gone on my birthday, he got up early (woke up the girls to help) and they surprised me with breakfast in bed.  Made my day, thanks Josh, you are always so thoughtful!  Thanks for the dark chocolate chips in the pancakes.  Love my teenage boys!

Although my kids tried to correct me on my age… hey, a lady can delete a year or two, it was a fabulous birthday and family day celebration!!

These six years have flown by, yet it seems like Sophie and Sage have always been a part of our family! 

5 Years… {Sunday Snapshot}

since Sophie and Sage have been home!  It’s flown by fast, yet I can’t imagine our family without them.

How they’ve grown.  Sage so kind, spunky, & talented, and a great friend to others.

Sophie so genuine, athletic, and compassionate, also a true friend.  Looks so grown up in this picture, gives me a glimpse of how she’ll look as an adult.

Our full of life precious girls.  It’s been an amazing 5 years, they have blossomed and added so much to our lives!  We love you like Crazy Cakes Sophie & Sage!!  I’m looking forward to the next fabulous 5 years!

Three years ago today...

We held our daughters for the first time, when they were 3 years, 3 months old (a bunch of 3's). The time has flow by, it seems like only yesterday we were hiking the Great Wall, touring China, and counting down the days and minutes to meet our daughters. I can't imagine our family without them, they add so much and fit so well. Now they are six and starting first grade in less then two weeks. Sophie and Sage fill my heart, bring me joy, wear me out (I mean keep me in shape), and put a smile on my face every single day!
